Lighter, Thinner Lenses

High index lenses,which are thinner and lighter are recommended for stronger prescriptions.

Transition Lenses

Transition lenses darken as you go from indoors to outdoors. Transitions are available in several colors which includes gray and brown in a variety of materials

Progressives (no line bifocals)

Progressive lenses provide all the benefits of bifocals with the added feature of continuous clear vision at all distances, including mid-range distance (arm’s length). Progressive lenses have the cosmetic advantage of appearing to be single vision lenses and are available in many different lens materials. Polarized Sun Lenses

Polarized sunglasses eliminate reflected glare. Polarized sunglasses are appropriate for all types of outdoor activities especially golf, fishing, hunting and everyday driving.

Scratch Protection Coating

Light weight hard resin lenses can be more easily scratched than glass lenses. Special coatings have been developed to help protect lenses from normal scratching. The modest additional cost for such scratch coating is usually a prudent investment.

UV Protection

It is generally accepted that the ultraviolet rays in sunlight pose potential harm to the eyes. Special treatment is available for lenses that completely blocks hazardous UV light. Polycarbonate and high index include built-in UV protection.

Anti-Reflection Coatings

Special anti-reflective coatings are available for spectacle lenses, much like those used on premium camera lenses. Anti Reflective coatings are effective in reducing eye fatigue for computer operators and anyone driving at night. Anti Reflective lenses enhance the wearer’s appearance by removing all distracting reflections from the surfaces of the eyeglass lens.
